Its main functions are to insert any text string (from any application) into any windows application (MS Office, MS Access, Internet Explorer, etc.) and launch a program when certain keys are pressed. Keyboard macro key for AutoHotkey works in the background and does not slow down the operating system, and the operating system does not have to be configured to use it.
Program Description:
AutoHotkey is a free software program that enables you to create your own keyboard macros. It has a scripting language that allows you to create keyboard macros that can be useful for everything from text replacement to batch-size setting changes. You can assign hotkeys to various keyboard functions and macros to automate repetitive tasks.
Keyboard macros are created by entering text in the programming language. These macros, or scripts, can be triggered by a hotkey or mouse click or by entering a certain text string. After a macro has been created, it can be activated, so that the user can select and perform a hotkey or mouse click at a specific time and location.
