MediaPortal is a Windows Media Center GUI that includes all the things you need to stream all your media to your TV. It’s a complete solution with support for virtually all types of devices and codecs. It’s ideal for home and small business installations and has a variety of video, music, photo, and other file types that you can add to your collection.
Requirements and compatibility
MediaPortal is a free application, which can be downloaded and used on all Windows Vista and Windows 7 x64, Windows Server 2008 and Windows 8.1 operating systems. It’s not designed for Windows XP or Windows Server 2003 operating systems.
MediaPortal can work with hardware and software components from Sony, Panasonic, JVC, Philips, Hitachi, LiteOn, and Pioneer. However, it doesn’t support virtually all video and audio devices that are available on the market, and it doesn’t work with Blu-ray discs.
How does it work?
The basic version of MediaPortal doesn’t let you run your custom videos, images, or music on the TV. However, it does allow you to view the contents of your PC or your network drive on the TV. All media files are stored on your PC and can be viewed on the TV via your router, but it can also be streamed directly to your TV.
MediaPortal’s home screen contains all the media that you have on your computer and network. Clicking the desired item will bring it to the TV for playing.
You can also connect external media devices to MediaPortal. These can be inserted into a USB port on the MediaPortal or connected through the network. You can connect a wide range of digital video cameras, digital camcorders, mobile video players, digital camcorders, and more. It can also work with external video and audio devices such as DVD players, audio CD players, video CD players, video game systems, MP3 and MP4 players, USB drives, or any other device that provides video or audio.
MediaPortal’s most powerful function is the ability to play virtually any type of video content on the TV. You can play the videos in Windows Media Player, Windows Media Center, or another media player installed on your computer. It’s possible to play DVDs and Blu-ray eea19f52d2

QPS PDF to Word is an application with a title that pretty much explains its functionality – it allows you to convert PDF documents to the Word format, more specifically to RTF and DOC.
The interface of the program is plain and simple to navigate though. You can import PDFs into the list by using the file browser only, since the “drag and drop” method is not supported. Batch processing is allowed.
In the queue you can check out the source path, size and number of pages of each file. Once you specify the output destination and format, you can proceed with the conversion task.
In addition, you can enable QPS PDF to Word to open the target directory after conversion and to connect hyphenated words, set the page range and user password (if it is required), as well as remove an item from the list or clear the entire queue.
The application requires a low-to-moderate amount of system resources, includes a brief help file, has a good response time, quickly finishes a task and generally manages to keep a good quality regarding shapes and the text layout. However, it doesn’t do such a good job with images. Nevertheless, we strongly recommend QPS PDF to Word to all users.
