Mozilla Firefox Nightly 33.0a1 (2014-07-09) Full Version

currently, firefox for developers is available on the app store, and only for ios devices. an android version for mobile users is planned for a very near future. other platform versions are currently not under development.

that is basically it for the firefox 32 release and nightly. firefox 32 beta 33.0a1 is now available for download. a set of screenshots is available here . to report issues or contribute to the beta, visit .

this override was created for extension developers and advanced users who are interested in testing for compatibility, so its not easily accessible. installing untested extensions can lead to unexpected outcomes; please be judicious about the extensions you install. also, since most developers havent been able to test and optimize their extensions for the new android experience, please be kind if something doesnt work the way it should. we will remove negative user reviews about extension performance in nightly.

for all release, beta, aurora and nightly users: firefox for android requires android 2.3 or later. you can download firefox for android on the android store for your android device or, to install automatically, follow the instructions available on mozilla’s blog .

in firefox, there is now a about:downloads page. it does not yet display information about whether your downloads is being synced, just whether it’s being downloaded or not. expect to be able to query this information more holistically, once a better about:downloads api is fully developed.

with the next version of our download manager, downloads , we will be giving users more control over which third-party extensions are allowed to manage downloads and new ways to report issues with download managers. (we’ll be giving people more control even over the check-list of extensions they can turn on by default.)

You don’t have to compile anything, just unarchive the tar.bz2 file into your /home or your /opt folder if you want to make it available to all the accounts on your machine and launch the firefox file from your shell. If you decide to install Firefox Nightly outside of your Home, such as in /opt/firefoxnightly, don’t forget to give this folder the same rights as your user otherwise it won’t auto-update:
The interaction of comments in Nightly is always an issue, especially when you ask for a disclaimer or a way to translate them. Many people don’t talk or understand English or what they feel they speak while others are used to justify their posts in this way and etc. we just added the en track button, but this could be the idea to add:
The new Mozilla Firefox for Android has a much different look and feel than Firefox for desktop, or even the previous Android experience. Until now, weve worked with the developers of Recommended Extensions directly to optimize the user experience of their extensions for the release channel. We plan to share these UX recommendations with all developers on Firefox Extension Workshop in the upcoming weeks.
The previous Firefox for Android included security updates and this version now also applies them. This can be disabled by entering about:config in the address bar. The Nightly Builds page now looks like this:
There are some differences (like the new title or the “”update now button”” next to the “Firefox for Android 32.0a1 (2013-08-23) release version) and there is a new “Easy update” mode that only downloads the updates and not install them. This should be much faster than the usual method but only works if you previously installed the updates because it will not update the previous downloads.
